LEVEL 2 NVQ IN FOOD PROCESSING & COOKING
This NVQ is designed for people who:
are involved in Food Processing and Cooking as their primary work activity
are seeking a career in Food Processing and Cooking and wish to take the first steps towards professional qualifications
wish to receive recognition for their Food Processing and Cooking experience
This qualification is also appropriate for candidates working within local authority catering, school meals, residential and care homes, the National Health Service, either as contractors or direct caterers, and licensed retail outlets
STRUCTURE OF AWARD
To achieve a Level 2 Food Processing and Cooking NVQ candidates are required to complete 11 units in total (3 mandatoryunits plus 8 optional units).
A NVQ Level 2 takes approximately 6 months to 1 year to
complete.
This qualification can be obtained as a single NVQ or as part of an Apprenticeship.
