Europe for the Employer

As a provider that works closely with its employers, we understand the frustrations many of you encounter when recruiting new staff e.g. lack of quality candidates who possess the relevant skills, the inflexibility of some candidates and the pains of the recruitment process.

The influx of EU migrant workers has alleviated some of these frustrations but in its self raised other ones e.g. the inability of some candidates to communicate effectively or the high commission rates charged by recruitment companies if you appoint their recommendation.

Therefore the Academy has set up a new facilitation service which will be known as

Europe2uk

Europe2uk is a service set up to assist employers in the British hospitality industry to recruit staff that meet their requirements.

Europe2uk - A Service That is Free of Charges and Hassle!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the service?

Europe2uk will maintain a database of students that would like to work in the British Hospitality Industry. In order for a student to get listed on to this database they will need to provide evidence they possess the relevant skills. The Academy will confirm this by vetting their application against a set criteria and ask them to complete a paper Induction Programme.

How will the service work?

  • Employers wanting to access this service can either receive a monthly newsletter advising them of newly added candidates to the service.
  • Or they can contact our Exeter office where a member of the Academy team will come out to meet them. They will take down their requirements and then search our database of prospective students. As soon as we find a person(s) that meet their requirements, we will forward the employer the student's CV, photo and record of their Induction.
  • Once the employer has decided, the chosen student will be notified of the interest and provided with the employers details.
  • The student will then confirm to the Academy whether or not they accept the offer of employment.
  • If they accept the offer they will arrive in England within 7 days to take up the post.
  • They will be collected by a member of the Academy team from the Airport and taken to the employer.
  • Thereafter they will be classed as an employee of the employer and it will be the employer's responsibility to ensure they are provided with the same rights and responsibilities as any other employee i.e. contract of employment and rates of pay etc.
The Academy team will remain in regular contact with both the employer and student to be of assistance if required.

How much does is cost?

The service is absolutely free. There is no charge as we are not a recruitment company.

You may be wondering how can this be possible, there must be a catch.

Well there is no catch. This is an additional service the Academy has developed, all we ask of you, is to provide the candidates with:

 - A Placement within your business and

 - A Reasonable standard of accommodation

 - The same rights and responsibilities as any other employee

 - And once employed, you allow the student to sign up and complete an NVQ with the Academy for Training & Development Ltd.

What Training Shall the Student undertake in England?

  • Once a student has settled into their new job, the Academy will arrange an appointment to meet with the employer and student so that they can then sign up to a Training Programme (NVQ) relevent to their occupational area.
  • The student willl be assigned a course tutor who will assist them to achieve their NVQ and will also be able to offer them information, advice and guidance on any matter they feel unsure about whilst registerd on the European Exchange Programme.
There is no charge for the training programme in the UK as this is funded by the Learning & Skills Council (LSC) and it will not affect the students employment as it will be work based training.

In addition we will also ensure the student possesses the following: -

1. A good understanding of the English Language
2. The ability to speak in English
3. An understanding of English culture and way of life
4. An English CV with photograph
